

Brian is survived by his dear wife, Marian, his children April (Chad) Nichol and their children Natalie and Alex, and his son Danny (Laura) Zerr and their daughter Violet. Brian also leaves behind his sister and brother-in-law Maureen and Alan Regel and their families, his brother Richard (Marj) Zerr and their families and his nephews Ryan and Greg Olson and their families.
Brian was predeceased by his parents Philip and Irene Zerr, his sister Val Sturgeon and his mother and father-in-law Marjorie and Alec Tasker.
Brian lived most of his life near Qu’Appelle, SK where he eventually settled and made farming and his cows his life work. A heavy-duty mechanic by trade, Brian was well known in the area as a fix-it-guy and spent lots of time in his shop tuning up engines and fixing whatever needed it. Brian had a natural ear for music, played multiple instruments and could sing a harmony with almost anyone. He continued to play and sing in a band well into his retirement. He served for over 10 years on RM council, drove school bus and was active in his church. Brian will be missed for his big heart, his witty sense of humor and his unwavering love for his family.
The funeral mass was held on Friday January 31, 2025, at Resurrection Parish in Regina (3155 Windsor Park Road) at 11:00 a.m. There was lunch immediately following the service in the Parish Hall. For those who wished to join, interment was at the Qu’Appelle Cemetery at 3:00 where Brian was laid to his final resting place.
