It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Carol Lee Grace Braumberger (nee Lockert), at the age of 76 years. Wrapped in the love of her family, Carol earned her angel wings peacefully in her sleep on March 5, 2026.
Born to George and Lorraine Lockert on October 5, 1949, Carol was the eldest of 5 children. Carol grew up on the family farm northeast of Vibank and attended Vibank District School.
Carol loved gardening, baking, cooking, fishing, hunting, cross stitching, crocheting, knitting and reading Danielle Steel novels. Carol was always in her glory out on the tractor, working the land. However, nothing topped Carol’s lifetime commitment of love for her family.
Carol and Larry married on Oct. 7, 1967 and made their home on the farm southeast of McLean, SK. Carol and Larry raised their three children and continued many years of hard work and dedication to one another on the farm.
She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999. In 2005 the MS immobilized Carols ability to walk. Although Carol’s mind was sharp and her hands still functioned, she utilized her independence to her maximum ability. As the MS progressed, Larry became Carols full time caregiver with the help of the Indian Head Home Care family. In 2019 circumstances changed and Carol became a candidate for long term care.
Carol became a resident for 10 days at Lakeside Nursing Home in Wolseley, SK until a permanent placement became available at Golden Prairie Home, where she resided until her untimely death.
Carol is survived by her loving and devoted husband Larry of 59 years; sons Larry Jeffery (Judy) Braumberger and Dean (Michelle) Braumberger; daughter Laura Langlois (Joe Regier); grandchildren: Bree Braumberger, Nickolas (Ashely) Braumberger, Carter (Samantha) Langlois and Connor Langlois; great-grandchildren: Desiray Dunn, Teagan Langlois and Oakley Langlois; brothers Larry (Marie) Lockert and Kevin (Erin) Lockert; sister Leetta Ferguson (Bill); brother-in-law Donald (Sharon) Braumberger; sisters-in-law Lori Lockert and Cheryl Shaw; Godchildren Joseph Lockert and Lindsay Rey, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, George and Lorraine Lockert; parents-in-law John and Phyllis Bramberger; brother Leonard Lockert; brothers-in-law Garth Ferguson and Spencer Shaw and niece Amanda Braumberger.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you and appreciation to the staff at Golden Prairie Home for the years of caring, kindness and compassion shown to Carol. To Dr. Sam, nursing and hospital staff, we can’t thank you enough for the care you gave to Carol in her final days and to us as well. Carol’s final days were full of care, compassion, respect and comfort and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Also, a thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Indian Head EMS, as you ensured safe travels and all-around true caring for Carol. Your dedication to your patients is second to none.
The obituary will be published in the Saturday, March 14, 2026 edition of the Regina Leader Post.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around You and whispered, "Come with me".
With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and watched you fade away. Although we loved you dearly We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands laid to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best!
