Irvine Albert Harris was born on August 25, 1962 in Indian Head Hospital. Growing up, he lived on the farm with his mother Maryann Peterson-Harris (later remarried as Renkas) and father Cyril Harris. Irvine eventually moved to Regina and began working at an auto mechanic shop. In his free time, he loved building model houses/cars, drawing, fixing vehicles, music, watching movies, playing cards and working side jobs for friends and family.
In his late twenties or early thirties, Irvine fell ill and was diagnosed with severe kidney failure. Faced with a complex diagnosis, Irvine underwent dialysis treatment at Regina General Hospital for the next 30 years. Despite many complications, he never lost sight of hope. He fought bravely until his peaceful passing on October 1, 2026, at the age of 64 years in Regina General Hospital, where family and friends surrounded him.
Irvine is survived by his sisters: Lillian Harris Rokosh (Lionel Rokosh), Vivian Harris, Maryann Harris (Larry Schnider), Patricia Douglas (Ian Douglas), Christina Harris and Elizabeth Harris; his niece Katlyne Blight and nephew James Douglas. Irvine loved all his sisters and niece Katlyne.
Irvine was predeceased by his father Cyril Harris.
A graveside service will be held in the Indian Head Cemetery on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
