Marg cherished time with her family and we all hold special memories of our time with her. She was the “rock” of our family, closely followed by our cherished Dad. Their love for each other was like no other … which unfortunately led to loneliness after his passing and her Dementia worsening. Marg struggled until we found the “Angels” of the Yorkton Skinner Unit where she felt loved and content. She was treated with love; compassion and respect daily; no matter what her mood or reality were for that day.
Mom lit up the lives of others, as the Nurses alluded to as her “Sassy” side! She was very proud of all her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments and was their biggest supporter throughout the years, always with a big hug and a “here’s five bucks” get an ice cream. Throughout Marg’s Nursing career of 31 years in Indian Head and Balcarres hospitals she worked with many fellow Nurses who still reached out to see how she was doing up until her passing. She cherished those days and it showed as she nursed my Dad through his Cancer with smiles; laughter and compassion when we all wanted to cry and break down.
Marg will be dearly missed by family and friends. Many good friends and family have gone before her and her family takes comfort that she is in good company. Back “Dancing in the Sky” in the arms of our Pops!
Family and friends are cordially invited to celebrate Marg’s life at a graveside service which was held on Tuesday July 19, 2022 in the Balcarres Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. followed by reception at the Balcarres Golden Age Centre.
