Robert Simpson

Robert William (Bob) Simpson died peacefully in the Indian Head Hospital, Indian Head Sask. on March 25, 2006 at the age of 87 years. The funeral service was held in St. John's Anglican Church, Indian Head, Sask., on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Cheryl Johnson officiating. Members of the Indian Head Royal Canadian Legion conducted Legion burial rites and the urn bearer was Larry Simpson. Interment of cremated remains followed in the Indian Head Cemetery.

Bob was a proud veteran and a member of the Indian Head Royal Canadian Legion. He was born, raised and farmed in the Indian Head area and spent his entire life in the area except for his time overseas, selling the farm in 1969.

Bob was predeceased by his wife Mollie and sons Douglas and Thomas. He will be greatly missed by his family: son Larry (Joanne) Simpson, Pense, Sask., grandchildren: Rob, Doug and Renae and great grandson Nolan; daughter Janet (Wayne) Grant, Chetwynd, BC. and grandchildren Elizabeth and Danny; daughter-in-law Pat (Mel) Harkness, Coronach and grandchildren: Cory (Darla), Ryan (Jeanette) and Ashley; sister Barbara Boxall, Tisdale; brothers Roy and Doug Simpson of Indian Head as well as other numerous relatives and friends
