

Alice was born in Denmark, TN to Willie B. and Alice Watkins on March 15, 1938. She went to Indiana Business College, Indianapolis. She married Jesse A. Woodson in October 1959 in Indianapolis. She had a 34-year career with various federal government agencies and retired from DFAS-IN (formerly known as USAFAC). She attended and was involved in the ministries of several local churches. She received several honors and awards during her lifetime including the Proverbs 31 Woman of the Year!
Alice was preceded in death by Jesse A. Woodson, parents Willie and Alice Watkins, and siblings Ernest Lee Watkins, Willie Frank Watkins, Elizabeth Burton, Anna McBride, Eunice Stoeling, Celester Hamlett, Sylvester Reaves, and David Watkins.
Alice is survived by children Jessica Lynn Woodson, Dwight D. Woodson, Kimberly K. Woodson McClung, grandson David Alan McClung II and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones all over the world.
Funeral services will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery with Pastor David L. Page of New Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crown Hill Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the Greater Indiana Chapter - Alzheimer's Association.
