Obituary of Alma Odessa Moore
Alma Odessa Moore 93 years old, passed away on January 4th,2021 in Indianapolis. Visitation will be 4pm -8pm January 13th, 2021 at Crown Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11am -12 noon January 14th, 2021 at Barnes United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles R. Harrison Sr. Pastor of Barnes UMC, officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crown Hill Funeral Home. Alma O. Moore was born in Indianapolis, IN to Percy Dallas Sr. & Eva Bugg on October 10, 1927. She completed grade school and High school through the Indianapolis Public School System. She married Elmer Moore on October 2,1966 in Indianapolis, IN. She graduated from Tennessee State A.& I. in Nashville, TN. She worked as a School teacher for IPS for 30 plus years until she retired. She was a lifelong Christian and member of Barnes United Methodist church for 60 plus years. Alma was active in United Methodist Women’s and a subgroup called Roles of Sharon. Alma would also decorate the church bulletin board whenever needed. Alma loved devoting her time to the church. She was a people person who found great joy in helping others. Alma is preceded in death by spouse Elmer Moore, parents Percy Dallas Sr., Eva Dallas Edwards. Her 2 siblings Percy Dallas Jr., Laura Dallas and her son Kyle W. Moore Sr. Alma is survived by Step-daughter Althea Beverly (JD Beverly), Grandson Kyle W. Moore Jr (Kelly & James Hubbard), Grandson Julian Beverly, Granddaughter Kylah C. Moore (Dana Connell), Step Granddaughters Brandy Sculark & Chloe Phillips (Shawn Phillips), Great Grandsons Kyle W. Moore III and Iziah F. D Jefferson (Dorian Wilford II) , Step Great Granddaughters Chanel & Shyann Phillips, Nephew Derek A. Dallas (Ti Dallas),Nephew Lamonte Dallas (Angie Dallas) , Niece Perci Dallas Simpson (Ronald Simpson), Niece BJ Arnett (Cameron Arnett), Cousins: Dr. George W. Bugg Sr., Barbara Harris , Carol Bugg, Hortense Pinkney, Juanita (Bugg) Hodges, and her 14 siblings, and a host of other loving family members and friends.
