Annie Delores Jones

Annie “Chris” Delores Jones was born in Covington, TN on November 26, 1951, to the late Estella Carter and James W, Toliver (Georgia B). She departed this life on Saturday, October 24, 2020. Annie was a resident of Indianapolis, Indiana. Annie touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was a wonderful person who served and dedicated herself as a public-school bus driver for 35 plus years. Annie had a passion for interior decorating and sewing clothes. She was the life of the party and loved to dance. Annie was one who loved unconditionally and gave wholeheartedly. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She loved her granddaughters dearly. She lived for happiness, joy, and good times. She kept a smile on her face and cheer in her heart through her highs and lows in life. She went above the call of duty whenever she was called upon as a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and give that she even became a foster parent because she believed in giving back whenever she could. She never gave up on life, she fought the good fight of faith. She gave all she had. We will truly miss Annie’s physical presence; she will never be forgotten. Her memories will always be with us and our love for her will to be in our hearts. Annie Jones leaves behind to cherish her memories, her daughters Jamaica, and Monique Jones; her dog Princess Jones; her granddaughters Ajah Jones, Maliyah Johnson, and Kennedi Crockett; her father and bonus mother James W. Toliver (Georgia B); eleven siblings Carolyn Stewart, Richard Norfolk, Johnny Ray (Doris), Timothy Norfolk, Victure Norfolk, Patricia Norfolk, Georgia Mae Craig, James Earl Toliver (Karen), MaryAnn Toliver, Michael Toliver, and Connie Robertson; sister in law Jenise Muex; brother in laws Martin Jones, and Marvin Jones (Regina); and host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Annie was preceded in death by her mother Estella Carter, siblings, Nathaniel (Walter) Muex, Inez Smith, and Betty Jean Woods. Funeral services for Annie will be 2pm, Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home Peoples Chapel, 5252 E. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46218. Family will receive friends 12pm until time of service.
