Ardis Conrad Melloh

Dr. Ardis Conrad Melloh, 83 Ardis “Doc” Conrad Melloh, 83, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 5, 2021, surrounded by his family. Born September 12th, 1937 in Indianapolis. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. After graduating from Cathedral High School, he attended Notre Dame University and graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in1964. Following graduation, he started his dental practice “A.C. Melloh D.D.S.,” at 7101 Southeastern Avenue in Indianapolis. He practiced dentistry for 51 years, a career that he truly enjoyed. He was a member and former President of the Sertoma Club of East Indianapolis. He was a devoted member of Nativity Catholic Church for 61 years. He was a member of the American Dental Association and the Indiana Dental Association. Doc was an avid softball player until the age of 75, winning the National Softball Championship for his division. Art “Doc” is survived by 2 sons: Paul (Alician) Melloh, David Melloh, and 4 daughters: Tara Spencer, Amy (John) Kitley, Tina (Chuck) Stephens, and Theresa Melloh: 1 sister, Mary Gladys (Kentucky), 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, his dog Louie, and a host to countless friends and relatives. Doc is preceded in death by his wife: JoAnn Melloh (Wheeling, WV), daughter: Catherine Sisterhen (Upper Arlington, Ohio), Father: Dr. Ardis F. Melloh (Indianapolis) and mother: Cecillia (Weber) Melloh (Wauseon, OH). Prayer service will be held Friday March 12th at 10:30 at Nativity Catholic Church, 7225 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46239. The service will be lived streamed at Nativityindy.org. Social distance and face mask will be required. A celebration of life will follow at Camp Sertoma Club of East Indianapolis, 2316 S German Church Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46239.
