

Bertha lived a most extravagant life. She grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and was educated in the Cincinnati Public School System. She went on to graduate from Central State University as well as the University of Cincinnati. Upon completing her education, she went on to work for the United States Postal Service in Cincinnati, Ohio. She then obtained a position as a Systems Analyst for the Department of Defense at Fort Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana. She retired in Monterey, California in 1993. She then returned to Indianapolis, IN in 1995 to be with family.
She was a Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League. *NO TRUMP* Bridge lingo! She traveled extensively and the time she spent here on earth was lived to the fullest. She will be immensely missed and NEVER forgotten as she was The Lioness, QUEEN, of our family.
Preceding her in death; her father James Andrew Lewis (1982), Mother Marian Olive (Martin) Lewis (2015), brother Richard Clarence Lewis (2011), aunts Lillian Peters (1976), Edith Smythe (1972), Lillian Foster (1998) and cousin Frank Benjamin Foster, III (2011), niece Jemita Lewis (2015) and granddaughter Misty Danielle Moore (2020).
She leaves behind her 5 daughters Rosalind Annette Scott (Frank), Marian Denise Moore, Maureen Yvette Cox (Eddie Cox, Jr.), Adrienne Richardeine Berry (Brian) and Veronica Michelle Holliday (Derek).
Nephew: David Brown, Son in Laws: Stanley Bester, Kenneth Shorter, Rev. Kenneth Moore, Sister-in-Laws: Clarissa Holloway, Ann Uddin, Cousins: Margaret Bratcher, Azizi Jackson, Edmond Johnson (Pat), Ruth Johnson-Watts (Sonny), Louis Johnson, Gladys Dorsey, David Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson and Mary Johnson.

A visitation for Bertha will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM.
