Beverly attended Shortridge High School where she participated in Y-Teens, Girl’s Concert Choir, Echo School Paper, Fine Arts Agents, Intramural Bowling and the Booster Club. Soon after graduating, she met Michael Edwards and the couple later married on December 3, 1966. Married for 49 years, Beverly & Michael raised 3 beloved daughters, Robin, Joy and Michele. Possessing a true servant’s heart, Beverly faithfully cared for her family until her last day.
Her husband introduced her to Jehovah and Beverly was later baptized on December 12, 1972. A woman of faith and the heart of the Edwards family, she served Jehovah and led her them by her tireless Christian example. Beverly worked for Eli Lilly and Company for over 24 years in different capacities before being employed by the Family and Social Services Administration with the State of Indiana from which she retired in 2014. Her goal after retirement was to become an auxiliary pioneer giving generously of her time and energy to help others spiritually. She joyously accomplished this goal. Even during her illnesses, Beverly’s priority and strength came from caring for others with her gentle and loving spirit. She honored her mother and step-father, Rozzell Moore, Sr., by caring for them until their passing.
With a real zest for life, Beverly loved to write letters, read, travel and shop; especially yard sales! She was a constant friend, a kind spirit and a woman of noble character. Beverly possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing of love and faith.
