Bruce was raised by his aunt, Herberlia Gold, in a very large loving family when he was age 5. He enjoyed walking or riding his bicycle everywhere he went. When Bruce became a Young Adult at age 19, he moved to Omaha Nebraska with family friends. He later joined the Army Reserve and was station at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Bruce work history included machine operator for Wonder Bread; labs @ University Hospital; Lawn Care Services & Handy man. He moved back to Evansville, IN later in life and reunited with Little Valley Baptist Church. First Lady Fay Bailey of Little Valley was very helpful in getting Bruce settled in his own apartment. Little Valley became very important to Bruce even when he moved on the Northwest side of town. He later resided at the North Park Nursing Home in 2018, and the church bus would still pick him up every Sunday for service. Wilma Gold-Jones his sister/cousin oversaw Bruce health affairs while in the nursing home. Wilma later moved Bruce in 2021 from Evansville to Indianapolis. He resided at the Northwest Manor Health Facility near her westside home. She was able to visit him regularly and looked after his daily medical needs until his death on June 24, 2025.
A very special Thank You to Heart to Heart Hospice of Indianapolis for caring for Bruce in his final 6 months.
Clergy: Pastor Matore Bailey
