Charles Louis Frazier

Charles L. Frazier, 91, passed away peacefully on June 26th. He is now reunited with Berniece, his wife of 69 years who preceded him in death in 2015, and his daughter, Debra L. Tamplin, who died in 2016.
Charlie, as he was known to friends and family, is survived by his sons, Vernon (Linda) Frazier of Bradenton, Florida, and Charles H. “Chuck” (Anita) Frazier of Evansville, Indiana, and a sister, Shirley Allison of Mesa, Arizona, as well as seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Charlie was born June 30, 1926, in Indianapolis. He was a much decorated World War II Army veteran. In the battle for Okinawa, Japan, in 1945, Charlie earned two purple hearts and was later awarded a presidential citation and a bronze star.
After the war, Charlie worked for Penn Central railroad/Conrail, retiring in 2008.
Charlie was an avid horseshoe player and enjoyed dancing, working on cars, home repairs, hunting, and travel.
Visitation will be this Saturday at Little & Sons Colonial Chapel, 4901 E. Stop 11 Road, Indianapolis, from 10 AM until 11 AM, followed by burial services at Floral Park cemetery, 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
