Charles Edward Taylor

Charles Edward Taylor, 75, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at Community North Hospital. He was born the second son of the late George and Rose Taylor on February 6, 1950, and attended Indianapolis Public Schools and was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School.

The year of 1972 was special for Charles. In May he was united in holy matrimony to Elois Demmings and from this union 2 children were created (a son in 1975 and a daughter in 1978). This was also the year he began his dream job at Chrysler.

Charles loved his job and was a dedicated employee for over 30 years where he was known by his co-workers as Charles “The Truth”. He enjoyed his car collection, especially his Prowler and Corvette. He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and honesty.

Charles was preceded in death by his brothers: Lyn Taylor and George Taylor; son: Charles E. Taylor Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Elois Taylor; daughter Chiena Kyles Taylor (DeLores); grandchildren: Andre, Jaylen and Skylar; sisters: Carolyn Allen, Donna Jeffers, Kasaundra Taylor, and Susan Calhoun; aunts: Saundra Shovan and Sharon Shovan and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial visitation for Charles will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.
