Christ Dimosthenis Tsiros

Christ D Tsiros, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 29, 2021 in Indianapolis. Semi-private visitation following COVID restriction capacity will be on February 4, 2021 from 11:00AM-12:00PM with funeral services following at 12:00PM at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral (3500 W. 106th Street, Carmel, IN 46032). Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery with arrangements by Crown Hill Funeral Home. Christ was born in Meropi, Greece to Dimosthenis & Sperithoula Tsiros on December 12, 1934. He married Helen (Kargakos) Tsiros on April 16, 1977 in Indianapolis, IN at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. He worked as a Tailor, first for Harry Oliver and later opened his own tailor shop, Eastgate Tailors, which he ran for over 40 years until his passing. He was a veteran of the Greek army and was involved in AHEPA & Lions Clubs. He was also a long-time member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and founding member of Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church. Christ is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Tsiros, parents Dimosthenis & Sperithoula Tsiros and sister, Bessie Vasiliki (Steve) Spenos. Christ is survived by sister Katina Tsirou, brother Panagiotis (Katerina) Tsiros, nieces Georgia (Steven) Simmons, Kathy Spenos (Rich) Garcia, Sissy Tsirou; great-nieces Victoria Simmons, Kaili, Ellie & Lilly Espey, Sophia Garcia and great-nephew Alexander Garcia along with countless close friends. The family of Christ sincerely thanks all of his loving friends, loyal customers and most recently his caregivers, doctors and nursing staff.
