Coleman was born on February 27, 1933 in Lee County, Opelika, Alabama. Coleman graduated from high school in Alabama, served in the United States Army and graduated from Blayton College where he studied Accounting. Coleman served as Union President for the IU Medical Center and was employed with BOVA Produce Company.
After retirement he worked for IWDC. He married Malyn Morris of Barrow County in Bethlehem, Georgia. They were married for 54 years until her death in 2010; their union produced four children: Anthony, Andrea, Jeffrey and Craig Morris.
Coleman Morris departed this life at the age of 88 on May 8, 2021. He was survived by Anthony Morris (LaVonda), Andrea Morris, Jeffrey Morris (Nicole), Craig Morris and bonus daughter number five Cherise Whitney. He was grandfather to Andrea Holmes (Terrence), Cheylenn Bostick, Onyx Morris and Kerrington Morris. Great grandfather to Shanyla Bostick, Camrie Pipes, DaJon Pipes and Sydney Holmes and also loved by hosts of cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
