

Constance Conner Shea, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2013. She was born on July 14, 1934 in Davenport, IA to the late Euphemia and Carroll Conner. Connie graduated from Hathaway Brown school in Cleveland and Butler University in Indianapolis and attended Christian Theological Seminary. Besides devoting herself to whatever activity her kids were doing, Connie's loves were knitting, gardening and sailing. Connie worked for The Hoosier Art Salon, Yarn World and McNamara Florist before retiring. Connie attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church for many years and completed Education for Ministry through the University of the South. The Episcopal convent Community of the Transfiguration in Cincinnati and the Paths Crossing Partnership with All Saints Episcopal Church in Minneapolis, MN were particularly meaningful to her. Later in life, post-polio conditions slowed Connie down dramatically, but she was able to enjoy her family and friends throughout her life.
Connie's loved ones include her four children John Wesley Burkhart IV, Brenton Burkhart (Laura), Patricia Shea-Carpenter (Eric), Kevin David Shea, her companion Cliff Antcliff, her sister Babette Brenton (Robert) and her one beloved grandchild, Callie. Connie was preceded in death by her husband David.
