Passed away on May 1, 2013.

She was employed by Community Hospitals Homecare as a Restorative Aide. She also attended Ivy Technical Institute where she received her Q.M.A. certification. She was a member of Grace Memorial Missionary Baptist church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Mays and Frances Eleanor Harris Mays, daughter, Monica M. Dunn, sisters, Dorothy Gray, Mary Gregory, Barbara Smith, brothers, Owen, Gregory and Jerome Mays.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred B. Ishman, sons, Eric, Sr. (Stacey), Alfred J. (Shawn), Anthony K., Gerald and Darryl Burdine (Shirley). Lee C. Ishman, daughters, Felicia D. Burdine-Searcy (Henry, Jr.), Shelia A. Barksdale (James B.), Frances Y. Burdine, brothers, Lee Curtis McKinney (Betty), Jerry Mays (Ruth), Leslie Mays (Sandra), Frederick Mays, sister, Lynn R. McCowan, 26 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013, 12 Noon at Grace Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 3019, N LaSalle. Visitation will be on Friday from 10 A.M. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home. www.williamsandbluitt.com
