
Denyce was born in Indianapolis to Frances I. Booker-Malone and Jerry Ford on March 8, 1972. She graduated from Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis graduating class of 1990. She graduated from Fisk University in Nashville, TN in 1994. She received her Master’s Degree in MLS at Indiana University.
She was employed with the Indianapolis Public Library for 30 years. She started work for the Library as an office assistant in 1994. In 1996 she became a Librarian and in 2002 she started working at the Brightwood Library as a Librarian. In 2003 she became the Branch Manager of a neighborhood branch and in 2018 she became the Manager of the Michigan Road Branch, a community branch. Denyce was a pillar to Flanner House and the now Michigan Road community. Many have flourished under Denyce’s leadership and guidance.
Denyce was a faithful member of Eastern Star Church and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
Denyce is preceded in death by her mother Frances I. Booker-Malone, her father Jerry Ford, grandmother Julia O. Booker, grandfather Jessie Booker, uncle Michael Booker and cousin Dennis Vaughn.
Denyce is survived by her Godsister Jolyn Green, Godbrother Shane Archer, Good Friends; Bernicestein Wilson, Sandra Green, Priscila Bell, Rayna Coe,Bronwyn Ware and Library Family, Cousins Dorthela Owsley, Irma Owsley and Brian and Michael Vaughn.
