

DONALD FREDERICK BRISCOE JR., age 59, passed away on December 19, 2023. Don was born on April 1, 1964, to the late Mildred and Donald Briscoe Sr. in Abilene, TX. Don was raised in South Bend, Indiana, along with his 5 siblings on Diamond Street where it all began. Don was the oldest of 6 children.
DONALD graduated from Lasalle High School in 1982. His love for football carried him from his childhood through college. He always moved with intent and set an amazing example for his family. Don received scholarships and accolades throughout his college years at Butler University for his talents in Football. Butler became his official alma mater in the Spring of 1986, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Throughout his college career, Don was inducted into Butler University’s Football Hall of Fame as a beloved running back for the 1986 Bulldogs.
DONALD went into his field right out of college and worked for over 40 years as a Senior Computer Analyst. That skill set created an abundance of opportunities for him in which he was able to travel and live in multiple states while advancing his career. Throughout his career, he met many colleagues and became a well-respected individual in the field. He ended his last 13 years with an opportunity to work from home while being able to spend quality time with his family.
DONALD joined in Holy Matrimony to his wife Wanda Briscoe of over 25 years. The couple settled in Indianapolis, IN and through this beautiful communion, he leaves to cherish his two daughters Kenya’ Briscoe and Jada Briscoe.
DONALD was known for his big heart, the abundance of wisdom, loyalty, and his strong family values and work ethic. Don spent most of his days working and traveling with his family around the world. He enjoyed watching sports and movies, hosting family events, listening to music, enjoying his family, and had a discreet love of comics.
DONALD was preceded in death by both his parents Mildred and Donald Sr, and brother Ernest (Bird) Briscoe. Donald leaves to cherish his siblings Helen Briscoe, Dorothy Briscoe, Michael (Jeannine) Briscoe, Mark Briscoe, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.
DONALD was a shining light that will never go out. He was a great father, brother, uncle, son, cousin, and friend to all. This is still so unreal, and he will be truly missed.
