Donald A. O'Brian

Age 86, passed away on October 15, 2014. Don was born July 15, 1928 in Loogootee, IN to Myron F. and Monica C. (Strange) O’Brian. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Don graduated from Indiana University and worked for Indiana Bell Telephone and its’ successors Ameritech and AT & T. He was a member of the Service Club of Indianapolis, a 3rd and 4th Degree in St. Pius X Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post 0153.

Don is survived by his wife Vivian R. (Holland) O’Brian; children: Alice L. O’Brian, Michael D. (Kathleen) O’Brian, Mary Pat McKee; brother: Jack O’Brian, M.D.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents, his daughter, Julia Ann O’Brian; sisters: Caroline Primeaux and Margaret Norris; brother: Raymond O’Brian.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Saturday, October 18, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Society of St. Vincent de Paul or the Alzheimer’s Association.
