

Doris was born in Indianapolis on September 29, 1932. She attended Manual High School and Purdue University, graduating with a Bachelor Degree in 1954.
She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity and Mortar Board.
She received a Master of Science in Education from Indiana University in 1959.
Doris worked at N. K. Hurst Company in Indianapolis during college summers.
She taught for many years at Indianapolis Public Schools, and also spent time teaching at the United States Army Base in Baumholder, Germany.
Doris was a member of the Indianapolis Ski Club, where she met her beloved husband, Dr Thomas A. Stump. They were married in 1972.
Doris had many friends and was quick to laugh. She loved to plan adventures and to read and travel. She loved to document the many trips that she and Tom enjoyed. Doris enjoyed volunteering for many years at the Indiana State Museum.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Dr Thomas A. Stump, her parents Karl and Johanna Kenninger, her brother Carl Kenninger ( Ruth), nephew David Kenninger. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Steven (Gail), Susan, Dan (Ruth), Roger (Julie), Greg (Marsha), Jordan (Eleanor)), Andy (Nancy), and Susan (Hal), along with 11 great nieces and nephews.
