

Dorothy M. Oldham, born on July 24, 1932, passed peacefully on March 21, 2018. Dorothy was born in Hopkinsville, KY to Martha Lee and Henry Oldham. Due to the loss of her parents at a young age, she was then raised in the loving arms of Mattie. H. Anderson and JB Anderson (Pop's). She retired from the Army Finance Center. As a federal employee, Dorothy's career blossomed with numerous promotions and acknowledgements and she rose to the high rank of GS15. In her position as the Director of Retired Pay Operations, she managed over 90 employees and often traveled to Germany, Guam, Philippines, and Japan overseeing the retired pay division. Upon her retirement, she continued to pursue her of love of travel and volunteerism.
Left to celebrate her life is brothers; Frank Anderson (Mercedes) and George Anderson, goddaughter, Colleen Bolden Smith, a host of lovely nieces, nephews, and countless cousins. Her brother, Robert Anderson and son, Richard Allen Oldham preceded her in death as well as Mattie. H. Anderson and JB Anderson.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate her life at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery on Saturday, March 31. The calling will take place at 12 noon with the funeral starting at 1:00 pm. Dorothy Oldham will forever be remembered for her sense of style, generous heart, humor, and trailblazing efforts in supporting women of color.
