Dear Doug,
I hadn't seen you in years but I remember the much younger man well.
Your blond hair and soulful blue eyes.
And your mischievous smile.
You married my best friend Susan and out of that union came your beautiful daughter Aubrey.
I remember your El Camino and driving fast in circles behind North Central High School.
I also recall your dirt bikes and swimming at your grandma's.
You were a lot of fun and had a great spirit.
Gone too soon.
Rest in eternal peace and as you use to say,

I remember this photo! Many wonderful memories I have hanging out with Doug. He always knew how to make me laugh...I am so grateful that my belief system allows me to understand that he has moved into an incredible and blissful existence.  Much, much love to you Doug. I will always remember Doug from our Shorewalk days and his kind and generous heart and his love for animals and his family.  Rest in peace Doug.

Doug Roy my step-brother who I met in Indianapolis IN. after moving from Mexico MO fall of 1975. Doug and I got to work at a trucking company for a year until it went to new owners in 1976. I lived at the same apartments Park Chateau on 16th St Indianapolis as Doug did until blizzard of 1978 and I moved back to CA. Doug Roy moved to CA too and his masonry skills and construction meant he would live at Big Bear CA thru winter to snow ski every day! If you look to hear the sound or look to see the chrome of a motorcycle Doug would laugh, twist the throttle and burn the tire to feel the power!  Ride on my brother! Mark Bevans

Doug you will be missed! I will always remember the times Lisa and you and I had at the river. I am so glad to have met you many moons ago. Love and prayers to your wife and girls and all your family and friends.

My brother, so tuff and strong, only a lucky few saw the inner softness that really made him what he was. He always had my back, even in my darkest days and never asked for anything in return. Ive never met anyone that had more respect for first responders of any kind, as he was truly the very essence of a first responder. Doug lived his life as he died, never looking back! For the many people that had the pleasure of knowing Doug, it goes without saying, hell be truly missed. Love you brother, till we meet again, Gods Speed!

Doug you and your family in many ways was my adopted family years ago! I looked up to you and always saw you as fearless! You battle is over and may you continue to be fearless as much now as you were then! You were a good man I'm proud to say I knew you and you were a friend! RIP and my prayers go out to the entire family!

You are missed my friend.  I know you are moving forward to better and greater adventures.  You are in Gods arms now?

Joe and I are so very sorry for the loss of Doug; he was such a nice man. Joe recalls their years as childhood friends and his kindness was portrayed even as a young person, carrying into adulthood. The commitment to riding for memorial services will be remembered by all who have attended these transitions as we watched others we love take their next steps toward our heavenly home. We pray for God's peace and comfort during this time of mourning and that your warm memories sustain you during this time.

May this light shine bright my Love,we will be together again.Thank you for your love and all the joy and wonderful memories I hold them close in my heart 

What an Honor to be called his sister! What a wonderful humanbeing! We had so many great times together as a huge family and Doug lived his life on his own terms without fear. I so wish it could have been a lot more years for him but I know he is back into pure positive energy now . I'm greatful for the smooth transition with his family around him.

 Brother, so sad to see you leave this world so soon. but I Have to admit, you did leave a great  legacy behind.  Thank you for being my  true friend and I, always appreciated your honesty and straight forwardness, Always knew where you stood, that is a great tribute to you. Your work here on earth maybe finished, but I believe  God needs you to accomplish more goal's for him. who knows maybe the Golden path and Golden Gates need reengineered and fixed correctly ?

Doug, gone way too soon.  Yes, Doug was a giving and generous man to those who knew him well.  He helped me tremendously with some serious home issues.  He was truly and interesting man and had some great wild tales.  We will miss you my friend.

You will be missed Doug. Say hi to everyone for me see you soon.

Leslie: Love, Sympathy, and Prayers on the death of your dad, as well as to all of Doug's family and friends.  I hope some happy memories help you through the sad times.

I miss you Doug. You were so watchful of the neighborhood. I always felt safer with you around. You were so generous with your time too. You kept our streets cleared of snow and even took a tree off my roof last spring. You just did all that because that's who you were. Thank you so much. You were a kind man. Rest in peace, Doug.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

My prayers are with Phyllis and family.  Doug was truly a good man and he will be missed by many.
