Earl D. Gadberry

A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Russell Springs, KY.

He was born September 12, 1938 at Chenoa, IL, the son of Albert Lee and Lola Ann (Cooper) Gadberry.

Surviving are his three children, Rhonda (Wayne) Reppond, Marion, LA., Deanna Arnold (Jeff Winter), Indianapolis, IN., and Brian Gadberry-Schroeder, Pekin, IL; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jacob Lee Gadberry, September, 20, 2008, nephew, James Lee Gadberry, July 13, 2009 and two infant brothers.

Earl was honorably discharged from the U.S.A.F in 1955 and shortly thereafter married Sandra Sue (McKinley) Morton and moved to Pekin, Illinois where he was employed as a machinist at Caterpillar. He later moved to Russell Springs, KY., married Linnie Katie Gadberry and worked at Jay’s Electric. In July of 2015 he moved to Beech Grove, IN. to be closer to his children.

Earl loved to fish on Lake Cumberland, play the guitar and was an avid sports fan who never missed a Kentucky Wildcats or Chicago Bears game. Most of all he loved life and never met a stranger, everybody he encountered he made smile with his great sense of humor, stories for days and sweet spirit. A hot cup of coffee, a cold beer and “pulling” on a cigarette was all he needed.
