Edna Wales

She professed her hope in CHRIST at an early age and joined the Gordonsville Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, KY. She moved to Indianapolis, IN and became a member of Mt. Paran Baptist Church.

She was united in marriage to Richard Wales and to that union a son, James Richard was born.

Mrs. Wales later joined Traveler's Rest Missionary Baptist Church, where she was active with the choir, Youth Drill Team, and the Fundraising Ministry.

She loved children and spending time with her family. During her lifetime, she was not only a mother to her son, James, but also to other children.

Mrs. Wales is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and five brothers.

She leaves to celebrate her life, husband Richard Wales; son James Richard Wales; three nieces, Lena Tibbs, Sara (Cushenberry) Johnson of Kansas City, MO and Pastor Minnie Cushenberry of Atlanta, GA, nephews, Robert Cushenberry, Frank Cushenberry and Hiram Cushenberry; a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services will be Monday, March 5, 2012 at 12 Noon with visitation from 10 a.m. Burial will be in New Crown Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home.
