

73, passed away in Indianapolis, IN on Saturday, June 7, 2014. She was born October 27, 1940 in Chicago, IL and spent her childhood in the Indiana Dunes area of Lake Michigan. She graduated from Purdue University with a B.A. in physical education, a Master’s Degree in history and later taught high school in Frankfort, IN, where she was a long-time resident. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority.
She had several interests, including Secretary of the National Carousel Association, member of the American Daylily Association, benefactor and volunteer for the Indianapolis Symphony, The Nature Conservancy and Purdue University School of Veterinary Science. She was a world-wide traveler and an avid birder and gardener.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert E. Hall, Jr.; sisters: Frances (Peter) Hancock of Victoria, BC, Canada, and Marjorie (Mike) Foote of Southport, NC; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Tom and Gretchen Hall of Indianapolis plus seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward B. and Lois F. Howes of Dune Acres, IN.
