Ms. Gloria Jean Jones, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in Indianapolis.
Gloria was born in Indianapolis to the late Roger William Jones and Florance Leona Jones on March 22, 1945. She was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Pamela J. Jones and the late Sherry D. Jones. Gloria received her education from Indianapolis Public School 37 and graduated from Arsenal Technical High school in 1963.
Gloria was an outgoing and fun loving person. She was a spirited lady, which means don’t mess with anyone she loves. She will be remembered by her beautiful smile.
Gloria worked numerous jobs, but the one she loved most was being a server at the Westin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents Roger and Florance Jones, her brothers Paul Kenneth Jones and Theothilus Jones, her sisters Ruth Marshall, Betty Jones and Vicky Jones, and her daughter Sherry D. Jones.
Gloria is survived by her daughter Pamela Jones, her sisters Melba Kirk, Mary Jetter, and Roberta Jones, her brothers Robert Jones and Roger Jones Jr., her grandchildren Tonnica & Stephan Wooden, Brian & Brittany Blackwell, Malik Martin, Jordan & Abigail Macklin, and her great grandchildren Eli, Skylar and Sofia Wooden and Keagan and Amaya Blackwell.
Visitation will be 10am Monday, November 9th at Crown Hill Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, November 19th at Crown Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Victor Morrisey of God’s Love Christian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crown Hill Funeral Home.
The family of Ms. Gloria Jones wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all who have taken great care of her throughout the years.
