Gwendolyn Garnet Moore

Gwen was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Theodore and Helen Young on March 14th, 1943. She went to school and graduated in Indianapolis. She married David E. Moore on June 23rd, 1962. She worked on the engine assembly line for Harvester/Navistar for 28 years. In her free time, Gwen was a league bowler. She was also in a CB club at one time, and her handle was “Lady In The Car”.

Gwen is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Helen Young, her daughter Crystle Quarles, and siblings Charlotte Huff, Marlene Magers, Freeman Young, Austin R. Young.

Gwen leaves to cherish her memory her husband, David E. Moore, son Reagan Moore (Tina Moore), daughter Torina Moore, grandchildren Jazzemine Quarles, Jaylen Quarles, Terrio Brooks, DaVontay Moore, step granddaughter Marta Brown (Dion Brown Sr.), and great grandchildren, Dion Brown Jr., Taylor Brown, Lincoln Brown, Javoney, Tray Jr., Kevon, Xavier, Aria, and Nila. She is also survived by her brother Roger Young, Western Young, Howard Young, and Rahn-Ellis Young, sister Carol Rowley, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, US, on March 13, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, US, on March 13, 2026, beginning at 12:00 pm.

Final resting place will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 W 38th St, Indianapolis.
