Helen Marie Steeb

Helen Marie Steeb, age 86, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021. Helen was born July 7, 1934 in Cannelburg, Indiana to Anna Marie (Pauly) Walker and Louis Bernard Walker. She was member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, word puzzles, and Jeopardy. She also grew to enjoy watching Nascar with her boys and loved Larry Bird. The thing that brought her the most joy was her granddaughters. Helen is survived by her children, Michael "Mike" Steeb (Robbie), John A. Steeb, Susan Wesley, and James D. "Jim" Steeb (Alma); granddaughters, Angela Steeb, Brandy Steeb, Jamie Steeb, and Ashley Steeb; and siblings, Loretta Withem, Kay Petroff, and John A. Walker. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Steeb; infant son, Joseph Allen Steeb; father, Louis Bernard Walker; mother, Anna Marie (Pauly) Walker; and siblings, Jerome Walker, Mary Lou Lockhart, Betty Shea, Edward Walker, Paul Walker, and Charles Walker. Visitation for Helen will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2905 Carson Ave, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203. Her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
