Ima was born in Mt. Carmel, Illinois to Earl Cannon and Bertha Charnes on August 15th, 1929. She met Donald Tucker in May of 1948 and they got married 5 months later on October 30th, 1948, and they were married for 60 years. She graduated in 1975 from Purdue University from the school of nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for nearly 25 years. She was a long-time member and active volunteer in the Christian church.
Ima is preceded in death by her husband Donald Tucker and her sister Phyllis Byrns.
Ima is survived by her son David Tucker and his wife Sandy and their two children, her daughter Nancy Madsen and her three children, her daughter Barbara Williams and her husband Stan and their six children. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin at 3pm June 18th 2024 at Little and Son’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the end of the week in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
