Mr. Isaiah Mathis, 90 of Indianapolis. Passed away Tues. Nov. 29, 2011. He was employed at Veterans Administration Medical Center before his retirement. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and received a Purple Heart during WWII. He was a Lifetime member and Deacon at Indiana Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alberta Mathis. He leaves to cherish his memory, ex-wife and companion, Georgianna Mathis, son, William Mathis (Janet), brother, Daniel Mathis, sisters, Addie Harkness (Johnny) and Hattie Mae Johnson 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral Service will be held Sat. Dec. 3, 2011 12:00 noon at Indiana Missionary Baptist Church 4160 Millersville Road with visitation from 10:00 a.m. Burial Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home 5252 East 38th. Street.
