Jacqueline Delores Bible

Jacqueline was born on June 8, 1941, to Roscoe Wray and Evelyn Thomas Wray in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was raised in a home filled with faith and music. She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her 10 beloved siblings, her devoted husband Samuel Bible, and her cherished children Evon Bible and Samuel Bible Jr.

From an early age, Jacqueline displayed a deep love for music and faith. She joyfully sang in the choir at her grandfather’s church and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age, carrying that faith with her throughout her life. Her beautiful voice and kind spirit touched all who knew her.

Jacqueline had a passion for reading, singing, and creating music. Whether humming a tune, reading a good book, or sharing stories, she found joy in life’s simple moments and in the company of loved ones.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through her children: Elizabeth Bible, Elonda Boatwright, Richard Bible and Jessie Bible. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Bryttini Da Silva, Joy Bible, Zoe Daniels, Samuel Bible III, Joshua Bible, and Meron Bible. Her memory also lives on in her four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will continue to cherish the light she brought into their lives.

Jacqueline will be remembered for her unwavering faith, warm heart, and the joy she found in music and family. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit, laughter, and love will continue to guide and inspire all those who were blessed to know her.

A celebration of her life will be announced by the family.

A visitation for Jacqueline will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a graveside memorial service at 2:00 PM.
