James W. Kruger

Jim was valedictorian at Crown Point High School in 1957. He graduated from Purdue with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, then received a M.B.A. from Butler University. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Carmel.

Mr. Kruger’s business career included the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, preceded by management positions at Stewart-Warner, Dean Brothers Pumps, PR Mallory and Procter and Gamble.

Jim was a great baseball fan. His favorite teams were the Cincinnati Reds and the Tampa Bay Rays.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Teresa Kruger of Crown Point, Indiana and his brother Thomas Kruger of Redington Beach, Florida.

Jim is survived by his wife, Marilyn, son Steve, son Scott (Erin), granddaughter Madeleine, grandson Jackson all of Carmel and sister Patricia (Barrett) Benson of Pine, Colorado.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 am, on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 4780 E 126th St in Carmel. Dr. Brian K. White will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and/or The Salvation Army Divisional Headquarters for Indiana, 6060 Castleway West Dr., Indianapolis, Indiana 46250.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 West 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
