James Warren Pavelchak Jr.

James Warren Pavelchak Jr. was born September 17, 1971 in Orange, Essex, New Jersey, the middle child and only son of James W. & Lena M. (Cox) Pavelchak. He unexpectedly departed this life on December 27, 2025 in Indianapolis, Marion, Indiana.

James known by many as “Jay” graduated from Deering High School class of 1991 in Portland, Maine. He was a fan of hockey and liked to attend games to support his favorite team the Portland Pirates while living in Maine. He worked for Fed Ex for the last 10 years. He had a heart of gold and loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He was one of a kind with a unique and genuine soul that was loved dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

James is survived by his loving parents, his sisters Lynne (Butch) Walker, and Deborah Pavelchak. His wife Vhine Pavelchak and daughters Hannah Mae and Helena, nephew Ron (Star) Morrill, niece Heidi (Matt) Krug, great niece Alexis Morrill, and great nephews Corey Morrill and Tyler Krug.

A service will take place on Thursday January 29, 2026 at Indiana Funeral Care West located at 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224. Showing for family at 1:00 p.m and services at 2:00 p.m., with his cousin Michael Brantley speaking.
