Jean E. Ferris, 84, Indianapolis - died Aug. 22, 2012. Born Nov. 1, 1927 in Providence to William and Lois Towers of Westerly, Rhode Island.
A graduate of Indiana University School of Music, Jean worked as a music teacher in Jasper and Benton counties, a realtor and held various positions at American Fletcher National Bank, later Bank One, retiring as a Communication Systems Analyst.
Jean also served as the President of the PTA at two area elementary schools, as President of the AFNB Women's Club (1981-1982), was a member of the Indiana University Alumni Association & Emeritus Club and served on the Nora Community Council heading up fundraising efforts for the Fire Department.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Jill Lyday; son, Randy (Patty) and her granddaughters, Kelsey and McKinlie.
