Jerrell E. "Jerry" Curtis, 86, Indianapolis, passed away October 26, 2008. He was born October 30, 1921 in Cayuga, IN to Oromel and Martha (Bennett) Curtis. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II at Iwo Jima. Jerry worked as a home builder and operated Curtis Construction before retiring. He is survived by his wife, May L. (Hensley) Curtis; son James J. Curtis (Nikky); daughters Rita J. Wright-Rodenbarger (Jack), Debra K. Belgin (Sam), and Cheryl A. Evans; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter (Pamela), and brothers (Ronald, Russell & Robert). Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 30 at Crown Hill Funeral Home. Calling will be held from 1 - 2:30. Interment with military honors will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
