

Jewel Latrelle Taylor was born on June 18, 1940, in Henderson, Tennessee. She was the second child of the late Joe Neal and Jewel Trice. She was educated in the Indianapolis public school system, attending #42 and Crispus Attucks high school.
Jewel Latrelle was united in holy matrimony to Paul Barnett Taylor Sr. on August 5th, f1963. This union was blessed with two children, Shelbie Lynne and Paul Barnett Jr.
Jewel Latrelle confessed her faith in Christ and was baptized and remained faithful until her demise. Jewel was employed by Lane Bryant Western Electric, The VA Hospital, and The Kingsley Terrace Church of Christ.
Jewel’s pastimes were knitting, crocheting, sewing, playing the piano, and a love to teach those who wanted to learn. She loved to travel every chance she could, whether it was airplane, train, ship, bus, or car. Her proudest moment was when she visited Paris and London.
Jewel departed this life on April 7th, 2026.
Jewel Latrelle was preceded in death by her husband, Paul B. Taylor Sr; daughter, Shelbie Lynne Rowley; Parents, Joe Neal and Jewel Trice; sister, Dorothy Sharp; brothers Jerry Trice, and Charles Trice.
Jewel leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Paul Barnett Taylor Jr; two sisters, Joyce Juanita Brooks (David), Evelyn Sue Butler of Hemet, California; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
