72, of Englewood, FL, died May 28, 2014 at Christina Place in Franklin, IN. He was born October 17, 1941 to the late William “Penny” and Elizabeth “Libby” Jordan. He was raised in Greenwood, IN and was a 1959 graduate of Greenwood High School. As a teenager, he started working at Western Hardware, which was located on Main St. in Greenwood. He later bought the business and operated it until he retired and moved to Florida. John was a former board member of the Greenwood Cemetery and a member of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge. John is survived by his daughter; Julie (Jody) Roberts, son; Jeff (Jane) Jordan, granddaughter; Alyssa Roberts and grandson; Dakota Roberts. He also leaves behind sisters; Judy (Jim) Wright and Jenny (Skip) Hendricks, brother; Joe (Maggie) Jordan and his special friend; Barbara Sipes. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 11am-2pm at Little and Sons Stop Eleven Chapel.
