Obituary of Jonathon "Jon" Young Knoll
Jonathon “Jon” Young Knoll, age 17, of Indianapolis, passed away December 13, 2020. He was born on July 12, 2003 in Indianapolis to Christa and Eric Young Knoll. Jon was a Senior at Cathedral High School. Jon was and incredible son, brother, friend and team-mate. He truly lit up any environment with his positive energy and prankster smile. He had recently become quite the entrepreneur selling comics and Supreme gear over the internet. He loved to fish by himself at the farm or anywhere with friends. Jon was very proud of and enjoyed maintaining his beautiful aquarium. He was passionate about snow skiing whether in Indiana or his favorite place, Utah. His other favorite place was sailing around the British Virgin Islands. This produced many great memories for our family and family of friends. He spent countless hours playing and practicing soccer where he met some of his most amazing friends. Jon had many other close and amazing friends from St Matthew and Cathedral. Even though he loved being with his friends, he loved being at home with his family and dogs, which is what he was trying to do Saturday night - come home to us. Jon is survived by his parents, Eric and Christa Knoll; older brother and sister, Jacob and Monica Peebles, younger sister, Chelsea Knoll (a freshman at Cathedral); grandparents, Roger and Becky Hansen, Joe and Kay Noel, Edith Hansen, and David and Dianna Knoll. Aunts and Uncles include Kathy, Karen, Kelly, Casey and Jeff. Also, his beloved dogs, Tora, Kira, and especially Keko who slept with him every night and clearly misses him. Jon was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Delmar Dirk Young. A visitation for Jon will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Feeney Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 E. 71st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46220. Per the CDC guidelines and Gov. Holcomb’s orders we ask all guests to wear a mask, social distance and not exceed a limit of more than 25 people in the building at one time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cathedral High School, for the Jonathon Knoll Memorial Fund.
