

age 85 years, passed away on February 12, 2015, at St. Paul Hermitage in Beech Grove, IN. He was born in Indianapolis on January 5, 1930, to Joseph A. and Marie (Moore) Naughton. He was educated at St. Joan of Arc School, Cathedral High School, University of Notre Dame, Chrysler Institute of Engineering, and Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Naughton practiced patent law for more than forty years with the firm now known as Woodard, Emhardt, Moriarty, McNett and Henry. He served in various organizations, including St. Barnabas Parish; Archdiocese of Indianapolis; Board of Advisors of the Sisters of St. Benedict in Beech Grove, IN; Serra Club of Indianapolis; Notre Dame Club of Indianapolis; and the Rotary Club of Indianapolis.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, June; daughters Ann Naughton and Emily (Edward) Brown; sons Joseph III (Cathy) Naughton, Natick, MA, Thomas (Michelle) Naughton, and James (Katie) Naughton; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with calling from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of St. Benedict or St. Pius X Catholic Church.
