Linda gave her life to Christ at an early age at Barnes United Methodist church.
She was educated in the Indianapolis school system and graduated from Shortridge High School, Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was employed by U.S. Civil Service at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis and Allison Division of General Motors until her retirement. After retirement she received her Real Estate License and became a Real Estate Agent. She was also an Election Precinct Clerk; she always enjoyed meeting new people.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Robert Baker and Waneda Baker, husband, Thomas Hawkins Jr. and son Thomas (Tony) Hawkins.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her daughter Yvette Jones, sisters, Jeanetta Moore, JoAnn Crain (Thomas) and Judy Thomas (Michael). Brothers, Albert Baker (Teresa), Robert Baker (Patricia) and a host of grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
