Obituary of Linda Carol Robertson
Linda Carol Robertson, 69 (or 22 in spirit), drew her last breath in the comfort of her own home on July 29, 2018. In her final moments, the love of family and friends along with the sounds of her favorite music by Elvis Presley filled the room. Born in Akron, Ohio on March 5th, 1949 to Fred and Elverta Weaver Cool, the world truly had no idea what was coming. In collusion with her twin sister, Brenda Dukes, Linda’s youth was spent pulling pranks, causing mischief, and spreading joy to all those that knew her. This was a trend that continued throughout her life, including her many years spent working at Akron General Medical Center where she was known (and sometimes stalked) for her famous taco salad. The greatest source of Linda’s joy, pride, and occasional embarrassment were her three children, Shelley Chavez, Garry Jones, and Kimberly Kashuba. Linda ensured that life’s most important lessons were imparted on her children from day one; give often, love fiercely, and CLOSE THE DOOR, WE DON’T LIVE IN A BARN! Linda’s good fortune continued when she met and married her husband and best friend, Wesley Robertson. The two were known for their love of woodworking, adventures with their many grandchildren, and constant shenanigans. Linda never met a stranger and her loyalty and love were felt by all those that had the good fortune of being in her sight line, including the deep fried Oreos at the Indiana State Fair. Linda is survived by her husband, Wesley Robertson, children, Shelly Chavez (Jose), Garry Jones (Joanne), Kimberly Kashuba (Craig), sister Brenda Dukes, brother, David Cool, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A celebration of Linda’s life, legacy, and taco salad will be held at a later date. Services entrusted to Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Tributes may be made at www.feeneyhornakshadeland.com. She will be remembered by every one, replaced by no one, and celebrated daily.
