Lucy Anne Steuber

Lucy Anne Steuber, 103, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 15, 2022. She was born on May 14,1919 to Albert and Emma Lucille (Fritts) Meurer in Indianapolis, IN.

Lucy graduated from Shortridge High School and continued her education at Purdue University where she received a B.S. degree in Home Economics with a concentration in Textiles.

Lucy married Fred H. Steuber on December 31,1941 in Indianapolis. She was a homemaker and raised five children. Lucy was active in her Lutheran Churches in Indianapolis, Bloomfield Hills Michigan, Howey-in-the Hills Florida and Holland Michigan. She loved to travel and explored the world visiting well over 25 countries. Lucy also enjoyed reading, writing poetry and needle-work. She loved being around all of her family and was actively involved with the grandchildren and the great-grandchildren.

Lucy is preceded in death by husband Fred (1990), son Jim (2016). She is survived by her daughter Anne, sons, Fred, Bob, John, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

On Friday, July 22, Visitation will be at noon at the Gothic Chapel, Crown Hill Cemetery, followed by The Celebration of Life starting at 2 PM. Interment will follow at the family plot beside the Chapel. Arrangements are by Crown Hill Funeral Home.
