
Mrs. Lula Bell Smith,"Big Mama" 80, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010. She had been employed with United Hospital Service as well as Pappas Dry Cleaners as a Presser. She was a member of Church of the Living God, Temple#18 where she was a member of the church's Mothers Board. She had also been a member of the Midnight Pearls Social Club. She is survived by her sons; Julius Moore (Doris), Jefferey L. Stokes (Pam), Willie Lee Stokes, James M. Stokes, Timothy M. Stokes (Regina), Edward Lee Stokes, Burr D. Stokes (Elsie), and David C. Stokes (Pearl), daughters; Susie M. Fowler, Emma J. Morrgan (Elous), Geraldine Manson (Alvino), and Angeline Tyler; step-daughters, Catherine Smith and Charlotte Boswell; sisters, Willie Ann Elston and Irene Bynum (William), 47 grandchildren, 79 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law; Dorsett Moore, and Martha Moore, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Church of the Living God, Temple #18, 2502 East 38th Street. Visitation will begin at 11am until the time of the service. Burial: Crown Hill Cemetery Arrangemants entrusted to Williams and Bluitt Funeral Home.
