Luree Arlowyne Collins, age 95, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021. Luree was born August 16, 1926, in Elmwood, Nebraska. Luree loved to cook and was willing to feed anyone and everyone! She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and painting. She loved to pay it forward by helping others. She was a bookkeeper for Hugh J. Baker Steel for years. She went on to work for Wolf Technical Services until her retirement.
Luree was married to Joseph H. Collins for 41 years.
Luree was the President of the Beech Grove Art League, member of the Indiana Federation of Art Clubs, she volunteered with Riley Cancer Research for Children, VOSH (where she completed 19 trips to Honduras) and sponsored 2 children through Compassion International. She was very active member at her church, Maple Hill United Methodist Church.
Luree is survived by her Daughters; Barbara Collins and Carol (Larry) Compton, Sons; Michael
(Mary Ann) and Frank "Eddie" Collins. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Sisters; Leona Schoonover and Ophie Fern Keene and many nieces and nephews.
Luree is preceded in death by her loving husband; Joseph H. Collins Jr., Son; Dickie Collins, grandson; Michael Adam Collins, parents; Carl and Esther Irons and Step Father; Earl Crull, along with her brothers; Russell Irons and Virgil Irons.
Visitation will be held at Maple Hill United Methodist Church (Indianapolis) on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 12:00-1:00pm. Memorial Service immediately following.
