Marcelo Antonio Portillo Medrano, age 46, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 9th, 2021. Marcelo was born on September 28, 1974, in Cuidad Barrios, El Salvador. He was a Jani-King franchise owner. He was an avid fisher, a person who enjoyed walks through the park, and a family man who often spent time with those he loved. He will be remembered for his kindness, his optimism, and his ability to spread laughter and smiles. He is survived by his wife, Martha Vargas, mother, Bruna Medrano, children, Erick Portillo, Jasmine Portillo, Josue Portillo, and Daniel Portillo, siblings, Reyna Portillo, Miguel Portillo, Corina Portillo, Samuel Portillo, and Lito Portillo. He is proceeded in death by his father, Tulio Portillo, and two sisters, Gloria Portillo, and Yita Portillo. A Celebration of Marcelo’s life will be Sunday, February 14, at 2 pm with visitation from 1 until 2 pm at Family Funeral Care. Due to Covid-19, requirements include wearing a mask, social distancing, and a limit of 50 people for the service.
