Life started for me on July 14, 1939, in Springfield, Kentucky. The daughter of Mary Julia Dean and Jonnie Grace Baker, I was blessed with many siblings and raised with my extended family Uncle George and Aunt Georgia Baker. I was confirmed in the Catholic faith at an early age and as I grew older and wiser, I continued to serve in my faith.
While attending high school in the Washington County School District, I met the love of my life, Thomas E. Hayden.
Tom moved to Indianapolis, Indiana with family and because our love was so strong, he came back to get me! On April 28, 1959, Tom and I were united in holy matrimony. To this union, was born three amazing children: Georgia Marie, Thomas Matthew and David Sylvester. Over the years, I was blessed to see my family expand, and after 30 years of service to the United States Postal Service, I retired and got to kick my feet up - watch 60 Minutes, The Bold and The Beautiful and Murder She Wrote.
On August 12th, I departed this life for my eternal glory with no more suffering! I have joined some amazing people as I was preceded in death by my mother, Mary Julia Dean; my father, Jonnie Grace Baker; my brothers, Thomas “Tweet” Dean and Robert Lee Baker; and my sister, Senora Beauchamp.
I am leaving behind some incredible people to live out my legacy. I counted my blessings for my most beloved husband, Thomas E. Hayden; my sister, Deborah Lynn Baker Ross; my brother, James's “Terry” Beachamp (Ann); my children, Georgia (David) Brooks, Thomas “Mack” (Debra) Hayden and David (Lynette) Hayden; my grandchildren, Andrea, Antoine, Ashley, Larry (Tamika), Anthony, Dontae, David “Sluggy”, Walter, Tonya (Bryan), Ronnie (Kristy), Chris (Erica), Candace (Bryan), Michelle and Terrio; all of my great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
I know some of you may have hard times with me leaving this world. Miss me, but don’t cry too long- life is for living!
All my love,
Margaret Julia (Momma, Grandma, Grady)
