

Marsha was born in Indianapolis, IN to Fred Sr and Mary Clay on August 31, 1944. She graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1962 and subsequently began a career as a Federal Government employee at Ft. Benjamin Harrison. She served as a federal civil servant for 30 years and retired from civil service in 1995. She married Charles Jackson on February 20, 1991, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Upon retirement, Marsha enjoyed shopping, playing games on her computer, spending time with her family, and watching football, especially her favorite Kansas City Chiefs team.
Marsha is preceded in death by her husband Charles, her parents Mary and Fred Clay, sisters Sherilyn Mabry, Hilda Wilson, brother Ronald D. Clay Sr, and brother-in-law George Wilson.
Marsha is survived by her daughter Melanie Jackson; brother Fred Clay Jr.; 2 grandchildren Tiana Woods and Jonathan Ross; 5 great-Grandchildren Quinten Kirk, Arianna Sturdivant, Qui’Marion Ross, Jey’den Ross, Donovan Ross; 1 great-great-Grandchild Da’Mari Pittman Jr; 3 nieces Lechelle Mabry, Stacie Clay, and Brittiany Tarver; 4 nephews Ronald “Doug” Clay Jr, Kevin “Monty” Clay, George “Andy” Wilson, and Corey Clay.
Visitation will be 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, August 31, 2024, at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm, Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery with the Pastor Patrick Gillis officiating. A burial will follow at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery.
