Marty Hoaglin

73, of Indianapolis, IN passed away March 4, 2017. Marty was born in Elwood, IN on July 25, 1943 to the late Robert and Mildred Harvey. She is also preceded in death by a son, Christopher Hoaglin; a brother, David Harvey; and two nephews, Randy Harvey and Micah Harvey.She attended Shortridge High School in Indianapolis and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Marty was a stay-at-home mom and worked part-time at Cathedral High School for 21 years and then went on to work for Carmel High School for 11 years. She loved working outdoors and enjoyed her other part-time jobs at Klipsch Music Center (27 years) and the Indiana State Fair (4 summers). When she had the opportunity to travel, she did just that. Trips to the family lake houses, long road trips with her husband, or just a quick trip to Kentucky to see her great nephews brought excitement to her life.

Marty leaves behind many friends and her beloved family. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Don Hoaglin; a son Joseph (Margo) Hoaglin of Indianapolis, IN; a brother, Denny (Christina) Harvey of Fishers, IN, many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and great nephews.

Visitation will take place from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 E 71st St., Indianapolis, IN 46220. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am Friday at Christ the King Church 5884 Crittenden Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46220 with burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to: Christ the King Church or the White River Yacht Club Foundation.
